Even If I'm Reborn as a Cute Dragon Girl, I Will Still Make a Harem

Book 5: Chapter 219: Sadness

Book 5: Chapter 219: Sadness

Faced with Luna’s defiance, the officer subconsciously shouted, “What are you doing?”

But suddenly, he realized with horror that his body seemed to be unresponsive, as if sealed in an invisible column of cement; he could move only his head.

“What have you done to us? This is assaulting a police officer, you know! Assaulting a police officer is punishable by imprisonment. I don’t care what tactics you used, but let me go now, or else...” the officer continued to ramble on, attempting to threaten Luna.

“Shut it.”

Luna snapped her fingers, and suddenly the officer was silenced; he had to swallow the words that hadn’t come out of his mouth.

“MMmmmmphffff...!”

He struggled, twisting his neck in vain, and a flicker of horror crept into his eyes as he looked at Luna.

What IS this girl?

“Hehe, I’m coming, my beloved Liz...”

Amidst the horrified stares of the other officers, Luna continued clicking the mouse button until the option she had been waiting for appeared on the screen—

“I’m willing.”

“OHHHHHHHHHH!” Luna shouted excitedly, climbing onto her chair and spinning gracefully on her tip-toe in a celebratory dance.

She was thrilled and touched to have fought for so long to finally reach this perfect ending.

After all my hard work, Liz is finally mine and mine alone.

Meanwhile, the officers were terrified and panicked. The dance moves Luna performed on the chair seemed beyond human capability.

The two younger officers paled as they recalled the horror movie they had watched together the previous night, silently fearing that Luna had somehow died before finishing her game and had returned as a vengeful spirit.

Now that she was done with playing her game, the real hunt would begin.

Both of them began to wonder if the call they received earlier at the station had been part of this ghost’s trap—a common trope in horror movies whereby answering the call would seal their fates.

Tears streamed down the young policemen’s faces as they closed their eyes.

He kicked open the door, ignoring the confused and shocked expressions of the police officers.

Aiming directly at Luna, who was completely engrossed in her game, he fired in one fluid motion.

BANG!

An explosion erupted, sending a wave of heat through the room.

Flames blossomed in the dead of night, startling numerous naked men and women on the bed. The men scrambled around in panic, convinced that it were their wives who had bombarded the establishment.

The fire truck’s siren blared.

The fire brigade quickly arrived to quell the chaos, and by morning, the news reported a natural gas explosion at one of the hotels in the city.

“Damn it! Did he have to blow up the room just to stop me from playing a game?” Luna kicked a can on the ground in frustration, watching it shoot across the park and slam into a tree, sending leaves cascading down like rain.

Now alone in the park late at night, she realized that attacking a police officer and blowing up a room would likely land her on the bounty list of the law enforcement organization in this world.

Although she had been careful to avoid the cameras, the few officers she had let go could likely provide a detailed description of her appearance.

“Heh, I didn’t expect to become a fugitive just two days after arriving in this world. It’s truly laughable.”

Luna chuckled deprecatingly at herself, though she suspected that the mysterious being behind her troubles was to blame. If she ever caught him, she’d make sure to skin him alive.

“Seems like stars aren’t visible in a place like this.”

Sitting on a park bench, Luna looked up at the sky.

A hazy white mist, cast by the dazzling lights below, obscured the stars. Despite the clear weather, only a solitary bright moon hung in the sky.

“Could it be that I’ve been reduced to homelessness?”

As she gazed at the lonely moon, a sudden wave of sadness washed over her for some reason.

She had experienced worse—like the time she was surrounded by a pack of demon wolves, their howls echoing in the night. Back then, she had laughed it off. But now, sitting on this cold bench, the loneliness felt overwhelming.
