'Although if this was the case, isn't it a bit too late since they went missing? Perhaps they heard about the gold somehow… I wish I knew more.'

Several hundred meters away from us, the humans stopped, and one of them pointed toward Hive Rich. He said something in alarm.

"The guy must've noticed the skeletons," I muttered to myself and Bloodimina. "Let's wait for them to come investigate."

They approached together for 200 more meters, before three people split up from the main group.

The trio slowly walked toward the skeletons, looking around all the while. One of them pointed toward Hive Rich—but right now, all the non-soldiers were hiding inside.

If they went toward the hive or the skeletons, they were going to walk right past the ambushing army—the best outcome for us.

I clenched my spear tighter and waited, waited…

Suddenly, another thing alerted the humans, making them point fingers and loudly talk again.

The train tracks!

Those were coming to another side from Hive Rich. As the humans made their first step toward them—each spanning dozens of meters—I realized that if they went there, they will walk right past my ambush.

"Dammit. Fine, no way about it. Bloodimina, command attack as soon as enemies will be in range—and make sure nobody gets stepped on!"

With this command, I flew out of my cover. Of course, my bodyguards followed.

"Father!" Bloodimina gasped. "Yes, Father!"

Sun made my polished dragon scale armor gleam, and my bodyguards spread around me, immediately understanding what I was up to.

"HEY, UGLY BUG BASTARDS! YOU CAME TO KILL US, I BET? THEN COME HERE!"

"You heard Father," Destroyer said. "All repeat—UGLY BASTARDS, COME HERE SO WE CAN DESTROY YOU!"

Whether our voices carried far enough for the giants to hear, or they noticed my shiny armor, but they stopped and turned to me with loud clicking noises—I was ready to bet that they were surprised!

But then, they surprised me by pulling something that looked awfully like bug-catching nets out of their shoulder bags.

With those nets at the ready, they walked right toward me!
