Chapter 350: Assembled.
Chapter 350: Assembled.
Immortuous boosted the morale of the army. After a few orders to the generals, he walked back inside the hall. He was going to lead the army without any delay. Since he managed to blend in with a dragon treasure, he did not have to worry about anyone.
The dragons could not harm him, and the rest were too strong to fight. The world might be destroyed if they got involved, so these species had always been conservative. As for the rest of the enemies, he was not afraid.
His first goal was to look for the person he hated the most. Son of Divinus and Flos, the person who killed his sister and even sent her corpse back to him. He was going to pay this humiliation and insult back a thousandfold. He would kill him in front of the whole world.
...
While Immortuous was mobilizing his army, the magicals, and the Western continent monarchs also made their preparation. They forged armor and weapons. When facing forces like that of the Gladius empire, those who have bathed in blood and strived to kill needed good equipment.
Valkyrians were strong and had a knack for forging, but they were not good enough, so the Holy Maiden of the Clar-awks had the forging chief of her race to help them. Yes, it was the daughter of the old man who taught Valerian forging (Not trying to raise WC, but I forgot that guy’s name).
They also bought outs special materials to forge armor for Valerian. The young man had never worn any armor before, but when facing the Tyrant, he must not lose out on anything.
...
Valerian was wailing from pain inside the ravine as the death fiends purified his body. He had to cling to his consciousness. At this point, he did not know how much time had passed since he came here. He was counting. Yes, counting was the best way he could control the last shred of his mind.
He has lost his sanity and almost killed himself, but thankfully he started counting. A few seconds ago, he stopped feeling pain and entered a deep focus state. The blood inside his body began to change.
The dark red gradually turned to bright red. His vitality improved, and his body functioned better. However, Valerian did not know anything about it. It turned out the deep focus had a drawback. He would need an external stimulus to wake up. Otherwise, he would keep on counting till he died.
His cleansing turned the world calm. The death fiends did not go after him anymore. Boo-too was anxiously moving outside the valley when a calm, ethereal voice sounded, "Boo-too, is he still in there?"
The lady stopped, bowed toward the town, and said, "Yes, Pointiaf."
Her words were not replied to, but a strong shockwave traveled through the ground. Boo-too was shocked, but the quake was like a signal. The ground vibrated, and so did the ravine.
The vibrations were strong enough to jolt Valerian up from his deep focus.
...
The ground shook, and a few rocks fell from the walls of the ravines. Valerian opened his eyes, still surrounded by the black mist, but he was not afraid anymore. He was no longer in pain. He turned around and found a shining stone shaped like a teardrop lying on the ground.
He reached out, and his consciousness was pulled in again. He greeted the Dragon Supreme and said, "Greetings, Your Excellency."
The deep voice greeted him, "You did good, young human. I acknowledge your request. You may use the tear of Vita once. Let me tell you how to use it."
The dragon supreme began to tell Valerian how to use the tear of Vita, and soon Valerian was again standing in the ravine, but this time, all the black mist was being sucked inside the teardrop. It was like a whirlpool opened up to suck in everything.
Valerian stood inside the ravine, holding the teardrop stone in his palm. The shining stone from before had become a black mark on his skin. The dragon supreme had told him this was the only way to hold it. No magic pouch could contain it. It was a god-level artifact. How can mortal things contain its might?
The dragon supreme had to leave a wisp of his presence in this artifact to contain its ever-present power. Or the death fiends would have turned the world that the Goddess created. He was the first guardian, the supreme.
As the young man inspected the mark on his palm, the mark burned around the teardrop, surrounded by a golden ring mark. Valerian could feel the change in his body. The restriction on his mana and battle aura had been lifted.
He raised his head to look at the cliffside and was shocked. He did not expect the ravine to be so deep. However, thankfully, he did not have to climb up. His battle aura was slowly rejuvenating. He decided to wait a bit, but a jade-green vine crawled down the walls.
Valerian heard an ethereal voice in his mind, "Grab it."
The young man grabbed the vine and was gradually pulled up from the ravine. He could not help but look down and sigh. It took him a few seconds to reach the top of the cliff, where he spotted Boo-too retracting a vine. He asked, "How long was I there, Your Excellency?"
Boo-too replied, "One month and ten days."
Valerian looked at himself and asked, "Why do I look that same? According to the time ratio, it should mean that I spent seventy years in there?"
Boo-too shook her head and said, "The valley of death is a place where time ration returns to normal. Do not worry."
Valerian was surprised. He did not realize it had been that long. He asked, "Did anything happen when I was there?"
Boo-too shook her head and said, "Tyrant has mobilized his army. It will take them two weeks to reach the edge of the barrier."
Valerian’s expression turned solemn, and he said, "We will need to hurry up."
Boo-too nodded and asked, "Did you succeed?"
Valerian nodded and showed her his palm. He said, "The treasure is contained within my body. I can only activate it once. After that, I must bring it back here in the ravine."
He told everything that happened inside the ravine, and Boo-too was surprised. She remarked, "To think such a mystery lay behind what we all took for a common treasure."
Valerian nodded, and suddenly, an ethereal voice sounded, "Boo-too, bring him to the pond of life."
The lady bowed and replied, "Yes, Pointiaf."
Valerian glanced at her in askance, and Boo-too said, "The Pointiaf is the strongest of us all. The leader of Bloomkin. Come on. We must not let her wait for long."
The young man nodded and followed Boo-too in silence. After listening to the introduction, Valerian could not help but feel oppressed in his heart. He did not know how to express this feeling. Boo-too was so strong that she could leave Fortuna groveling on a whim, and now this character.
Soon they reached the pond’s banks, where Valerian spotted a white lily floating in the void. He could see a halo of dim light surrounding the lily. This flower was unlike the magical beings he had seen in this realm.
Boo-too and all the bloomkin races had their specific traits. However, the ruler of these beings was the most ordinary looking. Valerian was dazed when the lily turned around, and he found a figure like Boo-too, looking at him with a faint smile.
He could swear that his heart skipped a beat. The ethereal voice sounded, "Are you thinking, how am I so strong yet so simple?"
The charm in her voice made the young man nod subconsciously, and the lady replied, "When you have become strong in the truest sense, you realize that calm and patience are a virtue of being strong."
Valerian nodded and said, "Thank you for your guidance, Your Excellency."
The Pointiaf nodded and said, "You have two days to practice here and improve your vitality. After that, you shall go back."
Valerian was given an eviction notice but knew that time was not his ally. He had to go out and form a strategy. If possible, he would like to fight with Tyrant on his own, but the army trained by that vicious human was not going to be easy to deal with either.
War was not easy, and he was tensed while thinking about it. He sat down on the bank and began to gather life energy. His body had been through a lot of trauma, he needed to revitalize. Or Tyrant will defeat him with ease.
As he absorbed the energy, the world was moving.
Fortuna had asked the flood dragons to help transport the army of humans from the western continent to the shores of the eastern continent. Although the flood dragon king was not happy, but he was pacified by Fortuna in the name of the greater good.
