Chapter 355: Beaten Back.

Tyrant Immortuous stood with his crimson eyes gazing at the two people. Fortuna and Valerian were communicating in their minds, and the latter said, ’Ready to take a beating?’

Fortuna sighed and said, ’I hate this plan.’

Immortuous suddenly appeared in front of Valerian, and just when the young man wanted to dodge, his neck was held by the former. Fortuna wanted to attack, but Immortuous shoved Valerian in her face. The throw was made with all the strength he could muster.

The two people collided, and Fortuna tried to cancel the recoil, but Immortuous lowered his shoulders like a bull and rammed the two with his shoulders. Valerian opened his eyes wide as the wind inside his body was forced out. Disrupting the breath was a common tactic in battles.

The impact of the shoulder slam made Fortuna lose her balance, and the two people landed five meters away. Immortuous was angry and in no mood to let these two recover. He covered his body with a battle aura and rushed forward. Valerian was kneeling on the ground and trying hard to breathe because the impact earlier had caused his abdominal cavity to spasm.

He was healing quickly, but the time consumed was still slow. His enemy was fast. Immortuous appeared on his side and kicked the young man from the side. This blow rattled Valerian’s ribs. It was as if a dragon had rammed him with his tail and intention to kill.

The young man rolled over a dozen times before he landed on his back, panting and tearing his eyes. The soldiers of the Gladius army cheered. However, things were far from being done yet.

Fortuna appeared in the path of the angry monarch and blocked his path. However, Immortuous did not have any fear in his heart. He punched out, and Fortuna returned the favor. The physical strength of a dragon was not lagging behind his half-immortal body.

The punch sent out waves of energy rippling through the void. After a dozen punches, Immortuous removed a wooden staff from his magic pouch and struck Fortuna on the side. The staff looked ordinary, but it contained the energy of the dragon god.

The shabby staff made Fortuna fly at least twenty meters before she came to a stop, and the Dragon Queen was struggling to stand up. She narrowed her gaze and asked while panting, "So, what is the name of this treasure?"

Immortuous said as the staff in his hand crumbled away, "That was the withering staff. One touch of the staff and half your vital energy will vanish in a blink."

Fortuna suddenly clenched her heart and coughed up blood. She was not surprised by this after she heard the attack. She wanted to move forward and hit the guy, but she was having trouble standing, so how could she save Valerian?

Immortuous slowly walked toward the young man when he said, "Do not worry, that staff was a one-time use treasure. I did not expect you to show up with this kid."

He reached closer to Valerian and grasped his skull in his palm. Then he lifted the young man and said, "Are you having trouble breathing? Let me help you."

Just then, long, sharp spikes erupted from the ground. However, Immortuous was impervious to the attack and looked to his right. He said, "If you want to see him live for a bit longer, then behave. Or I might snap his neck out of fear."

Valerian regained his breath and held Immortuous’ arm. He said, "Your body is a perfect example of magic unification. However, you do not know something."

The amused villain asked, "What would that be?"

"I am not my Father. I know not only how to blend the elements but also, to dismantle them.", said Valerian.

Immortuous opened his eyes wide in surprise, and the next moment, his left arm vanished. It turned into specks of five colored light particles. Immortuous was surprised, but then he screamed in pain. Valerian landed on the ground and walked over to Fortuna while the enemy screamed. Immortuous was screaming so loud that the void was shaking.

The Gladius army was on its knees. Valerian walked around the place and supported Fortuna as he channeled his vitality into her body. The queen of dragons snapped, ’What the fuck are you doing? Do you wish to die?’

Valerian shook his head and replied, ’This was all thanks to the pond of life. I will be fine.’

Fortuna asked, ’What did you do?’

Valerian replied, ’The tear of vita will need sacrifice. Inside the valley of death, the tear devoured magic constantly. I just channeled my entire shadow mana inside the stone to activate it. I held him while it was active. The stone devoured all the mana in his left hand.’

Fortuna gulped and said, "The goddess left a wicked treasure, and it fell in the hands of a wicket person."

Valerian replied, "Be careful if she smites you."

The two focused back on Immortuous as they watched him scream and holler. After Immortuous got used to the pain, he asked, "What did you do?!"

Valerian replied, "Told you, I know how to dismantle Mana."

Immortuous roared, "Do you think I am a fool? Only my flesh is made up of mana. How did you erode my bones."

Valerian smiled and said, "Did you think I was lying when I said I have Decay Mana? Her Majesty Senium left me her inheritance. She wished you dead. Her partial soul had such deep grudges that your sister was killed in her hands before she transitioned over to the other side."

He twisted the fact slightly, but it was all to manipulate Immortuous. The angry monarch rushed at the two of them. However, Fortuna had recovered, and she would break this man apart. Valerian said, ’Block your mana. His body will suck it and assimilate it to reform the arm.’

Fortuna nodded, and then she began the beat down of the century. Immortuous was lifted in the sky and beaten without any remorse. Fortuna’s voice echoed before every punch, "This is for my Father, this one for my mother. For that boy standing on the ground, his parents. This one is for conscience. How dare you call yourself a human? You gave up your humanity completely when you killed the person who gave you so much power."

The last punch made Immortuous fall to the ground with a loud thump. The impact raised a dust cloud. The sight made the people shiver. Especially the Gladius Army, they had already lost morale. Valerian watched it all. He walked up toward the crater.

He dragged Immortuous out of the crater with his right hand. The monarch who ruled an entire continent was akin to a dog, almost at the end of his life. He wanted the entire crowd to see this. Valerian held the Tyrant’s right hand and said, "This was the hand you used to stab through my Father’s heart. Right?"

Immortuous was still disorientated. Valerian slapped him hard on the face. He asked, "This was the hand you used to murder my father, right?"

The slap had helped the monarch wake up. However, he was unafraid and said, "Yes, so what will you do?"

Fortuna appeared, and she wanted to beat this guy again when Valerian channeled another elemental mana stream inside the Tear of Vita. Soon, Immortuous screamed again. The people shivered as they watched the right hand explode in five color light stream and the bone slowly crumbling away as if it was made up of ash.

Boo-too shook her head and said, "I would have stopped him if not because he is finally venting his pain."

The other two ladies nodded. They also understood that Valerian was doing everything out of spite now. He did not use mana, and he could not outlast the enemy in physical strength. The only way to deal with this was trickery and Fortuna.

The Holy Maiden sighed and said, "In this battle against Immortuous, Her Majesty Fortuna had used much of her innate magic. If not for that, we would not have been here."

Misericordia asked, "What is her innate magic?"

She was unaware of this, and before answering, the Holy Maiden looked at Boo-too, who nodded and said, "Fortune. She can influence the Fortune of a person. The way Immortuous lost the Halberd, was it not odd to your eyes? Your Eminence."

Misericordia nodded, and Boo-too said, "Her innate magic cannot be controlled."

Fortuna waited for Immortuous to calm down before she beat him again. Valerian walked over, and this time, he asked, "Which of your eye did you use to look at my mother?"

Immortuous glared at him. Although the pain had resided, he was still hurt emotionally. His pride and his ego all crumbled. Valerian was humiliating him publically on purpose. He opened his mouth and said, "Kill me if you dare."

Valerian shook his head and said, "I want you to beg me for it."
