Chapter 1568 - 954: Animated Corpse [Solar]_2

What a terrifying power! Most of his face was obscured by the Sun Worm, with only a shield’s distance between him and Tami, who could hear the squirming noise coming from the Sun Worm, and see an unknown slime slowly dripping from the corner of Solar’s grinning mouth. Stranger wailing sounds emanated from his throat.

It was just like the satisfied smile one would show after fulfilling a lifelong wish, with nothing more to ask for.

"My Sun, this is it, the Sun, I succeeded...."

There was a dazed tranquility in Solar’s voice, as if his consciousness was completely unaware that he was in battle, yet his body moved on its own to attack everyone.

"Tami! Solar?"

No matter how shocking the scene before them, the elite adventurers present were about to react.

"Solar turned into an enemy!" someone finally shouted aloud, unable to hold back.

This statement pushed everyone’s hearts to their throats.

Solar becoming an enemy.... Such a thing is more terrifying than ten thousand Chaos Breeding Grounds!

"What are you all standing there for, help!" Tami’s voice came from behind the shield, already strained with difficulty, he was about to be overwhelmed!

Mila was the first to rush in, not yet understanding what happened but knowing that aiding comrades is every adventurer’s duty. She lunged at Solar from the side, trying to grip his arm in a capturing pose to restrain him.

But Solar’s arm did not budge; he didn’t even notice he was being pulled. All his attention was focused on Tami, with Mila hanging on his arm like an unnecessary ornament. He flicked his arm as if swatting a mosquito, flinging the petite Mila through the air, crashing heavily against the wall.

"I can’t move him." Mila’s voice was filled with chaotic emotions, even a bit aggrieved, "He’s too strong!"

It felt like they were facing a human-shaped Ancient Dragon, a strength far beyond human capacity.

It was this strength, honed over years, that allowed Solar to slash his way through without any special abilities till now.

Solar’s left hand rose, a motion Tami knew too well—it was the starting pose for throwing a Thunder Spear.

The next moment, Tami was struck in the abdomen by the instant-cast Thunder Spear, turning into a crackling Meteor, flying backward until he stopped at the wall, his entire body charred black. In the end, he seemed more resistant to electricity than the Sheep-headed Demon.

One hit, just one hit, rendered Tami, an elite, out of combat.

This attack was far more insane than when Solar appeared as a supporting Spiritual Body, as if removing all restrictions.

"What do we do, captain?"

All eyes turned to Luluwo.

How should I know! Damn it, why did Solar turn out like this!

Luluwado wished for a superior to ask, wanting to understand what was going on here. Had the resolute-willed Solar finally gone mad after repeated blows?

Like Oscar, who turned into a Wandering Soul in the Northern Undead Asylum?

No, no, how could he simply become an Animated Corpse? There must be something wrong.

Even amid a series of advices proving the Sun Warrior’s shaky faith, the Skyrim Strategy Group found it hard to believe Solar would fall into a state of madness; there must be another factor turning him into this - but what is it?

Solar’s target turned to the next person; he charged at whoever he collided with, with unsteady footsteps and a lurching form, each step appearing as though he would fall, yet moving at a speed that discouraged blinking, threatening to crash into someone the next second.

The adventurers, already in chaos, were thrown into further disarray by his sudden attack, unable to organize an effective counterattack, unlike the usual Skyrim Strategy Group standard.

This indicated that everyone’s minds were in turmoil.

When finally some managed to team up and stop Solar from different directions, the Sun Worm on his head suddenly emitted a bright light, blinding them. Solar easily took them down with two punches, leaving them unable to stand.

Luluwo noticed the sun-like flash and clapped her hands together suddenly.

"That’s right, Sun Worm, the Sun Worm is controlling Solar!"

Yes, that’s it, which explains Solar’s abnormal behavior!

She made this judgment completely forgetting that she too once had a Sun Worm pounce on her face, and apparently suffered no control from it. These worms provided light but had no special abilities other than that.

Perhaps she just wanted quickly to find a reason to compel herself into action.

"Everyone listen to me, find a chance to control him, and knock that worm off his face!"

Luluwo’s words finally gave the group an actionable goal.

As long as they knocked off the Sun Worm, they could break Solar free from its control and restore him to normal!

This time, as Solar quivered attacking the crowd, Mila came from the side, locking her hands onto one of Solar’s arms, fingers digging into the Armor seams while hanging onto the arm doggedly, refusing to let go despite the immense strength being hurled around.

Tami, who recovered at some point, simultaneously grabbed Solar’s other arm. Unlike Mila, he lacked her arm strength, but his fingers clasped like iron hooks onto Solar’s sword hand, trying to pry off each finger from the hilt. Though nearly impossible, the effort did manage to hinder Solar somewhat.

Luluwo hurled all her chains towards Solar, but they were no match for a body honed over time, unable to restrain even his legs.

Gritting her teeth, she charged, ramming Solar back two steps with her headbutt.

"Everyone, get him!"

The rest of the group rushed in; some latched onto his left leg, others pressed down on his right knee, and another locked onto his waist from behind. One after another, every person used their weight to forcibly layer him towards the ground.

Fortunately, he was just average human-sized; otherwise, if he were as large as Greg, they wouldn’t be able to suppress him.

Under everyone’s restraint, Solar struggled violently, roaring incoherently from his throat, and thrashed his pinned limbs outward, causing the people weighing on him to shake with each exertion.

The first person got flung, smashing against the rock wall; the second rolled several times before stopping; the third saw black when their forehead hit the ground’s uneven surface.

So many but none could fully suppress Solar! He thrashed about, on the verge of escaping their grasp.

And at this critical moment, Luluwo grabbed hold of the Sun Worm on his face.

"Ahhhh!"

As the Sun Worm was tugged away, Solar actually let out a terrible scream, so shrill that no one dared to continue pulling.

"My Sun!"

He erupted violently, knocking everyone aside.

However, at the moment he rose, the Sun Worm was torn off along with the flying Luluwo.

"Hooray!"

Luluwo triumphantly held up the Sun Worm, panting heavily as if displaying a battle trophy.

Now Solar should be back to normal, right?

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, thinking they were bound to receive some reward; even so, freeing Solar from his abnormal state seemed worthwhile.

"Uwa, wuwu...."

Another chaotic wail came from Solar’s throat, giving everyone an uneasy feeling at once.

"Give me back my Sun!"

He opened his blood-red eyes, charging straight toward Luluwo.

"Wait, why didn’t that work!"
