Chapter 1571 - 956: Rapidly Spreading Information
"Solar went mad.""And we can’t even beat him."
"Isn’t this completely hopeless...?"
Lake Lienia, Academy Gate Town, the base of the Skyrim Strategy Group.
Luluwo and the others sat listlessly around the hall, all looking like they had black lines over their heads, with clouds so thick above them that a rainstorm could start at any moment.
Everyone had a pained expression as if they had swallowed Fran Fort whole, each one sitting there with furrowed brows, not saying a word.
Thanks to them, the entire atmosphere of the Skyrim Strategy Group’s base was weighed down, and anyone approaching could feel the misfortune.
The other members, unsure of what they had encountered, didn’t dare to approach and start a conversation. They could only watch from a distance, whispering, "What’s happened to them, and why does even Captain Luluwo seem depressed?"
"It must be something from the Dungeon, but I can’t imagine what could affect her."
"Maybe we should stealthily toss some powdered Happiness Egg at them? They can’t just stay silent like this. You saw the client who just walked in got scared off."
Berto suddenly appeared behind these two lively members of the Skyrim Strategy Group, giving each of them a flick on the forehead.
"Go play somewhere else, stop thinking about nonsense, I’ll handle this."
"Hehehe, okay, okay."
The silent observers were dispersed by him, but Berto didn’t walk over to talk either, as he had already heard the whole story from Tami.
"Solar has turned into an Animated Corpse. Yeah, that’s really tricky."
What he meant by "tricky" wasn’t that Solar becoming an Animated Corpse would obstruct their adventurous exploration, as even as one, he only stayed on an optional hidden path and never came out to randomly harm passersby.
The tricky part was the mental impact on many adventurers; at least the Dungeon explorations for the next few days wouldn’t proceed normally. Even Luluwo often appeared dazed and absentminded.
This psychological impact varies from person to person; not everyone would be fazed by something like this. Most might just be surprised for a while and then move on emotionally, but those with a deep emotional bond with Sain Dungeon would have a stronger reaction.
Unfortunately, Strategy Groups like theirs, who deeply enjoy Sain Dungeon, tend to react more strongly.
In other words, top-ranking adventurers would be more or less affected, whereas reactions from ordinary adventurers were much milder.
This was also evident with Swallow God and Gwendolin.
Thinking of this, Berto actually felt a bit relieved and even grateful.
Luckily, more than half of the Skyrim Strategy Group members were Soul-sucking Ghosts, and their years of Marathon and under-spiral finger experience kept their moral levels from crumbling over Solar, unlike the Dark Moon Sword members who reacted so passionately upon learning Gwendolin was eaten.
Speaking of which, the ones who would suffer the most from this news should be those in the Starfire Church.
To them in the Starfire Church, Solar had been deified under Gwyn as an angel.
After a good while, when it was time for lunch, he finally walked over to the low-spirited crowd and reminded them, "It’s time to eat. Don’t let a bad mood affect your health."
"Alright..." Mila replied listlessly, looking almost like an Animated Corpse herself, wobbling towards the dining hall, with the others following suit.
Berto glanced again at Luluwo, who sat motionless, her brow furrowed and face dark, clearly the most troubled one present.
She must be very upset about Solar?
"Captain?" he raised his voice and called again.
"Huh? Oh, it’s nothing, nothing. I’m just thinking,"
Luluwo snapped out of her daze, waved her hand, and sighed again, her shoulders slumping down.
Seeing this, Berto found his captain rather adorable, as all her emotions were written on her face. She must be fretting over Solar, right?
Luluwo then said:
"I’m thinking about how to kill Solar in one go."
"..."
Berto swallowed back the comforting words he was about to say.
"No wonder you’re the captain..."
"What, did you think I’d throw a tantrum and sulk like Elsa did back then?"
Luluwo stood up and waved a finger.
"As a reliable adult, I’ve learned to regulate my emotions. I’m not going to cry like a little girl for hours. I’m a mature Strategy Group Captain now, so I’m figuring out how to take Solar down and what the reward will be afterward."
"So, you were crying for not hours, but a while just now?"
"Berto," Luluwo turned her head to stare at him, "I really can’t stand you intuitive little brats."
Berto helplessly spread his hands.
"Alright, let’s stop talking about this matter right now!"
She stormed off towards the dining hall, her mind filled only with thoughts of how to send Solar to his rest.
Meanwhile.
"What do you mean Solar lost his mind, thought bugs were the Sun, and became an Animated Corpse?"
Hepa Town, Starfire Church base.
