Chapter 1665 - 992: City of Sin
"What do we do now?"The warrior looked at Temude, who was staring at the map given by the Onion Knight, a thoughtful expression on his face.
After handing over this map to them, the Onion Knight departed, leaving the warm kitchen straight away. A warrior had already decided to follow him, wanting to see what kind of route he intended to take to his destination.
There were two choices laid out before them. One was to follow the Onion Knight to meet his old friend, and the other was to turn now and head towards Smoke Lake.
The map was drawn abstractly, with a sketch style. It depicted quite a few distinctive landmark buildings, and adventurers familiar with them could immediately recognize where it was.
But these were precisely beyond the knowledge of Temude and the warriors.
They were unfamiliar with this highly experienced region located in the Yanor Kingdom. If you asked them about matters in Nimgefo, they would be able to respond fluently.
Finally, after some thought, Temude made a decision.
"Let’s follow the Onion Knight first. We’ll go with him to see this so-called City of Sin."
The warriors immediately agreed. After all, they would never reject a decision made by Temude.
"Isn’t that said to be the homeland of the Giant King Yum? We might be able to see an Ember King there!" someone excitedly rubbed their hands together, "I can’t wait to witness his power."
"I want to know who is stronger, the Giant King or the Undead Team."
"Hard to say. What if they’re about the same?"
"Then we should be able to beat them."
For the warriors who had faced all the King’s Soul bearers, Ember Kings were no longer the highest level of threat, although they still required their full attention.
The group left the warm kitchen and reentered the snow-covered Yilushier, braving the cold wind while following the Onion Knight.
The scene looked rather odd because the Onion Knight didn’t want them to follow, but as a residual shadow, he wouldn’t turn back to stop them now.
Temude recalled the image of the Giant King Yum, where his towering figure was quite oppressive, making it impossible to estimate his true height. For the giant race, the larger the size, the stronger they were.
Perhaps Yum’s size was similar to Gui Ao’er? If they could fight an enemy of such size, that would be thrilling!
"After defeating all the Ember Kings, apparently, we can proceed with Fire Transmission."
Among the four known Ember Kings of the world, Rudes didn’t need to be fought, and the Fran Undead Team and Elderly had already been vanquished once by him and his subordinates, leaving only the Giant King Yum.
Originally, they’d been unable to locate him, but now the Onion Knight suddenly appeared to lead the way, which inevitably led to some additional speculations.
"Could this be the influence brought by Leon?"
As soon as Leon completed the Fire Transmission, Sain Dungeon opened at least two areas, the City of Sin and Smoke Lake. Only a fool would believe these two events were unrelated.
But what if they succeeded in defeating the Giant King Yum?
Could it be that a World Snake would appear to take them to the Initial Firestove for Fire Transmission?
Are these two instances of Fire Transmission of the same nature?
Sain Dungeon provided too little guidance in this area, and the lack of key information left them unable to continue speculating.
"Hey, where is everyone?" Suddenly, a warrior’s exclamation came from the front, "The Onion Knight has suddenly disappeared."
Temude looked up and saw indeed that the Onion Knight’s figure had vanished quite abruptly.
But fortunately, even though he disappeared, they knew where to go next because they were currently standing in the Yilushier Underground Prison area.
The Yilushier Underground Prison is a map with a distinctive Sain Dungeon flavor. As one of the earlier maps, strategies had long been circulating widely, and Temude and his group carried several guides with them when they entered.
"Since the City of Sin is below the underground prison, surely a new path will appear."
Now they just needed to compare all the strategy books to find the path that had never been discovered or recorded.
With that in mind, the group quickly flipped through a guidebook and then stepped inside with large strides.
The dark and damp underground prison echoed with the wails of prisoners, resembling a mix of human and beast screams that occasionally pierced the noise, the faint footsteps interspersed with the sounds making one’s skin crawl.
This time, the warriors were very restrained. When attacked by a monster, they didn’t use combat skills like Summoning Star recklessly but instead picked up their weapons and slashed at them honestly.
It’s not that they didn’t want an exciting battle, but this place simply wasn’t suitable for enjoyable fighting.
Because each prison guard in the Yilushier Underground Prison is a mechanical monster.
Even now, the terrifying ability of the prison guards to rapidly decrease anyone’s life force is rated by adventurers as one of the most undesirable abilities to encounter. Even Gapar can only attack honestly from outside the guards’ sight.
The warriors from the Warrior Country often use moves accompanied by an impassioned shout. Attracting too many guards would result in a rapid loss of their own life force.
The monsters here are all super-sensitive creatures, and even slightly louder noises can draw them over.
